What is a woman’s urologist?
A woman’s urologist is a surgeon able to comprehensively manage a woman’s urinary tract problems, who has over 15 years of medical training, including more than 6 years of specialist surgical and sub-speciality surgical training. A woman’s urologist is certified by both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), and is often a member of Societies such as the International Continence Society (ICS) and Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU).
